What other people say about us
S R (Son of Resident)
“Dad came in recently for some respite. He hasn’t returned home. He got settled quickly and wants to stay. Can’t fault the staff. Lots of them.
The food is good – Dad’s put on weight, which is a good thing. Lots of choice. Nice quiet room. Lots of places to sit. The place is clean. Dad went down to the shops yesterday which he enjoyed – the sort of thing he used to enjoy doing.”
Janet M (Daughter of Resident)
“Mum is happy here. She tells us so herself. She says the food is nice, everything’s nice. Mum has a special relationship with the activity lady. Love the new decor. Bathrooms and visitors toilet are decorated lovely. Staff are friendly and helpful.”
Roy G (Husband of Resident)
“The staff and management are very good if you need to talk there’s always someone there to talk to. My wife has early onset dementia and can be awkward at times but the carers treat her with respect even when she is being obstinate. The staff when you arrive to bring you tea, coffee and biscuits nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.”
Angela (Daughter of Resident)
“What a wonderful care team. Even though my dad is fed by a tube, they made his birthday special and did cake so he could blow candles out. This meant so much to the family. Such a great manager and staff team.”
Julia C (Daughter of Resident)
“Ravenstone have been absolutely brilliant with my dad. I have complete trust in the manager and her team. They have pulled out all the stops for my parents. They put on parties to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary, also my mother’s 80th.”
Stephen S (Child of Resident)
Alwoodleigh Home was a pillow [sic] of support to my father and our family whilst he had a three months respite. I would highly recommend this home to any families that are looking for professionals and genuine care. Thank you to all the staff.

My mum has been a resident at Highfield since July 2014. During that time, she has had excellent care and love from the incredibly dedicated staff. She is always treated with courtesy, patience and respect for her dignity. I always feel welcome whenever I visit and find Highfield to be a friendly, relaxed and homely environment. Highfield has a full programme of events, activities and entertainment to keep the residents engaged.

Since Mum came to Mundy House in May 2018 we have been consistently pleased with the level of service and the kind nature of all of the staff. Mum also likes being in here, with the knowledge that she is safe and well provided for. Nothing is too much of a problem for the staff, and any minor issues we have had have been resolved really quickly and to our satisfaction.
Hilary N (Daughter of Resident)
Our Mother seems really happy at last! She has finally settled at the home and she is so happy with the friendly staff who laugh and keep her happy every day. She would not want to leave the home as she is so settled.
Angela B (Daughter of Resident)
Mum has been in the home for nearly a month and I have noticed big improvements in her health and wellbeing. She has got her appetite back and is enjoying all the home bakes and home-made food.
Carers all doing their best and always willing to listen to any concerns we have. Management and nurses always there on hand if we need them. Activities very good, always plenty for them to do. I would highly recommend any of my friends and family to choose this home

My mother was placed on an emergency place after hospital. I’m so glad she was placed at Abbey Place, we were instantly made to feel extremely welcome. The staff did an amazing job at settling my mum in.
The rooms are really clean, bright and really nicely decorated. Plenty of activities going on on a daily basis. The food is fabulous, a great variety of good homecooked food. The home is a happy and safe place for my mother. The staff are incredible, so attentive and professional.
I am happy my mother is looked after by such lovely people.
