THE THOUGHTS OF OUR FAMILIES

Dawn B (Daughter of Resident)

The care at Swan House is exceptional. We, as a family are absolutely delighted with the care our Dad is receiving there. The staff are superb, they react in an instant, and we are so happy he is with them. We have complete peace of mind, above all he is very happy there. Can't thank them enough.

Hayley O (Granddaughter of Resident)

All of the staff at Swan House are polite and courteous they always greet us with hello and say goodbye but more importantly they treat each resident with dignity and respect. Every week the carers do their best to entertain the residents wether it be bingo or a good old fashioned sing song which they all seem to enjoy and everyone is encouraged to join in. The home is always kept clean and tidy and the handy man is always seen about repairing or improving the facilities. I would definatley reccomend.

Jayne P (Daughter of Resident)

My father has been in Swan House since January. He is extremely happy and contented. Care staff are very good and I feel my dad is in safe hands. Staff are always available if you need to ask questions.

Meet the Manager

Julie Hinton

Julie Hinton, Care Home Manager

We offer first class care for the elderly on a permanent or respite basis, delivered by highly trained professionals in lovely comfortable surroundings.

Our philosophy is simple; we want everyone to enjoy life to the full. We never forget that all our residents are individuals and we treat them with dignity, privacy and respect while offering freedom of choice and as much independence as possible.

Friends and family are welcome at any time. Hot drinks and snacks are always available and guests are invited to share a meal with residents. Our cook prepares three nutritious meals a day and the menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal produce. Special diets are catered for.

Residents have freedom to choose what to do and when. There is plenty going and our activities coordinator puts together a full programme which is adapted to suit the needs and wishes of our residents. Activities include quizzes, sing-alongs, reminiscence therapy, indoor games, art and craft, baking and wherever possible, trips out and about.

I’d love to show you around the home. So if you should like a tour, or wish to discuss any aspect of elderly care with me, please telephone the home to make an appointment.
