Briar House have been fundraising by playing some Bingo. It was held in the local Discovery Centre, which is in convenient walking distance to the home. Briar’s Activities Coordinator’s, Sylvie Leggit and Gail Suister, organised the bingo and raffle inviting both families and residents to create a hugely popular and successful event.

The raffle prizes were all donated by the families and local companies and included bottles of wine, spirits, food hampers and vouchers. Everyone was incredibly generous with their donations and Briar House staff and residents were incredibly grateful. Overall, the event made an astonishing £950 altogether.

Administrator Toni Miles commented, “It was a brilliant effort from everyone, family, friends and staff, we couldn’t have managed it without everyone’s help and support. The money raised was used to buy individually named Christmas stockings, and extra presents. The money has also been used to fund more events for the residents. It’s a great example of everyone coming together to create a really special and successful experience.”
