At Kingsgate Care Home we encourage residents to pursue their hobbies. One of the most popular activities during the summer months is gardening. Residents’ families join them in planting, nurturing and then picking the fantastic produce from our fruit and vegetable trug.
This week we have picked peas, French beans, bay leaves, and mint. The vegetables and bay leaves have been handed over to the chef. But the residents have insisted on keeping the mint for mojitos!
