Flowers, delicious afternoon teas, family visits and pampering were the order of the day on Mothering Sunday across our Larchwood Care homes this year.
Our team members go to great lengths to ensure special occasions are marked with a fitting celebration and Mothers Day 2022 was no exception!
At The Chanters Care Home in Atherton, Manchester, the catering team put together a delightful afternoon tea for their residents. Cream cakes and scones were presented on tiered cake stands, with tea served in beautiful china tea sets.
It was the perfect treat as the ladies of The Chanters enjoyed opening presents and cards from their loved ones.
Following a relaxing start to the day in Basildon, many of the Mundy House ladies enjoyed visits from family members who were delighted to exchange cards and gifts in person. Meanwhile, others enjoyed seeing family on video calls or catching up on the phone.
As an extra Mother’s Day surprise, the daughter of one of the home’s residents delivered a selection of delicious cakes for everyone to enjoy!
Keen to spoil their ladies, the team at Hope House in Clayton-Le-Moors started the day by delivering boxes of chocolates and a single rose to each of their female residents. The photos of smiling faces on the home’s Facebook Page show just how well-received this surprise gesture was.
In Colchester, a spot of pampering was top of the agenda for the ladies of Great Horkesley Manor. With fluffy towels and beautifully scented foot soak at the ready, many of the home’s residents enjoyed a relaxing foot spa to start the day.
This was swiftly followed by a hand-delivered single rose for each of the ladies of the Manor.
