At Ravenstone Care Home we are constantly looking for interesting ways to keep residents’ actively involved in their local community. Recently, Ravenstone residents were determined to do something to help families in need. Following a group discussion, they decided to put together a harvest festival food parcel for their local Foodbank.
With the help of residents’ families, staff, and supporters of the care home, a selection of tinned food, biscuits, crisps and other essentials were collected. Ravenstone Care Home resident Josie visited the Droitwich Spa Foodbank to deliver the food parcel in person, and to meet the volunteers.
In response to the donation, the Droitwich Spa Foodbank said, “A huge Thankyou to Ravenstone Care Home for their very kind donation. It was so lovely to see you at the centre delivering your donation. Great community spirit around this time of year with people wanting to help others. Thankyou Ravenstone!”
