Christmas may well be a distant memory, but the residents of Harmony House Care Home in Nuneaton have continued the party spirit long into January.
Swiftly following the New Year festivities, we have a wave of birthdays to celebrate at the home. With two birthdays falling in the same week, we decided to organise a party with live entertainment. Residents, their families, visitors, and the Harmony House team gathered in the lounge to watch local singer Trevor Santini perform. The crowd enjoyed singing along to a selection of well-known hits from the 50s and 60s.
To add to the party atmosphere, Trevor ensured that everyone in the audience got to wear one of his trademark sparkly hats. This performance was also the perfect opportunity to share out the instruments from our music therapy sessions. Residents and visitors played along enthusiastically with maracas, tambourines, and shakers, while others danced with members of the care team.
At the end of the show, our two birthday girls were treated to an energetic chorus of ‘Happy Birthday’ from everyone in the room. They both said that they thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and loved celebrating with so many other people.
We love birthdays at Harmony House and strive to ensure that each resident has the opportunity to celebrate their big day in a fitting way. Your friends and family are welcome to visit you at Harmony House at any time and may bring banners, balloons, and a cake to help you celebrate your birthday. In addition, our dedicated team are always happy to help organise birthday celebrations at the home.
If you would like to organise a more private gathering, our beautiful tea room can be made available. Please ask a member of staff for more information.
