It was a lively St Patrick’s Day at Larchwood Care Homes across the United Kingdom. From stunning emerald green displays to live Irish music, and even a visit from a cuddly leprechaun along the way, our residents and teams celebrated in style!
Ensuring that our residents get to celebrate the occasions that are special to them is a big part of life at Larchwood Care, and we love any excuse for a party!
In Hamilton, our Avonbridge family kicked off their St Patrick’s Day celebrations with a visit from a cuddly leprechaun to spread the luck of the Irish and many smiles throughout the home. A little later, some local children joined the party with an outstanding Irish Dancing performance for the home’s residents and team.
In the spirit of the occasion, the staff at Oake Meadows in Taunton spruced up their treat trolley with a beautiful green theme. The centrepiece was an iconic Guinness Toucan. During the afternoon, the main lounge was filled with the sound of Irish music and singing as a local performer entertained everyone with a St Patrick’s Day-themed show.
Meanwhile, our Muirton House community in Blairgowrie enjoyed a delightful afternoon as their musician friends from the Friendship Cafe, who they visit weekly, treated them to some authentic Irish tunes. The live music was a great way to celebrate the Irish National Day and brought everyone together in a festive mood.
