Thanks to a great community spirit in East Kilbride, residents at Kingsgate Care Home regularly get to enjoy live music and demonstrations. Recently we had a visit from Boogie Box Jive. They are a dance group that specialise in Swing Music and Rock ‘n’ Roll.
The demonstration helped our residents to reminisce, with lots of stories about their days at “the dancing” in Glasgow. At the end of the demonstration, they then got the chance to relive their days at “the dancing.” For the final song, each of the Boogie Box Jive dancers partnered with a resident to either dance on their feet, or in their chair.
