Abdul Rifai, Manager at Dungate Manor Care Home in Reigate is shortlisted for the Great British Care Awards London.

Award Shortlist for Dungate Manor Care Home in Reigate

There are celebrations at Dungate Manor Care Home in Reigate after the home’s manager secured a place on the shortlist for the Great British Care Awards London.

The team at the home received a pleasant surprise when Dungate Manor’s manager Abdul Rifai was announced as a nominee in the ‘Care Home Registered Manager Award’ for the regional London finals of the Great British Care Awards.

The Great British Care Awards have been celebrating expertise and excellence in the care sector since 2009. The incredible efforts of those within the sector are honoured at a series of regional finals. The winners then progress to a national Great British Care Awards final later in the year. Following a very difficult year for the care sector and its frontline keyworkers, the Great British Care Awards 2020 seems even more poignant.

With the GBCA 2019 national final still to take place as a virtual event on 30th October this year, the team behind the awards are hoping to host the usual gala evening in London during April 2021.

Empowering the Care Team

Tanya Petty, regional manager for Larchwood Care, said; “There is not another manager who deserves this award more. Abdul leads from his heart and his dedication and passion to provide the highest quality of care to all his residents while empowering his team along the way is a testament to the amazing manager he is.  During these difficult times, Abdul not only led from the frontline but led with confidence. This resulted in his team having the confidence to achieve great accomplishments during the most difficult of times”

Congratulations to Abdul for making the shortlist for this sought after award. We wish you the very best of luck for the big night!
