Celebrating a Quarter of a Century of Dedication

A team member at Dungate Manor Care Home in Reigate has achieved an incredible 25 years of continued service.

Home administrator Carol Thorne first took up the post in 1997 and has become an integral part of the day-to-day running of the home.

Abdul Rifai, home manager of Dungate Manor, said: “I must be the luckiest home manager to have such a kind, dedicated and reliable member of staff. Carol is the kind of employee every company would love to have in their ranks.

“With a sheer will to help others, a talent for thinking outside of the box and keen attention to detail, Carol has become a significant part of my team. I cannot thank Carol enough for her many wonderful years of service!”

A Special Presentation

During a special presentation, Carol was presented with a golden certificate, flowers and a bottle of champagne.

Heidi Davies, operations director for Larchwood Care, said: “Familiarity plays an important role in each of our care homes. From the meaningful bonds formed between team members and our residents over time to the expert knowledge of the running of the home, long-serving members of staff are key to creating a ‘home from home’ atmosphere.
