Avonbridge Care Homeย kicked off the festivities with a special performance by the Hamilton Highland Dancers and Nicola Boyle – School of Highland Dance. Their dance routines not only captivated the residents but also filled the air with a sense of patriotism, adding a perfect touch to theirย Burns celebrations.
Over atย Cranford Care Home, the day was marked by a flurry of activities and culinary delights. Residents enjoyed a specially curated Burns Day menu, featuring classic Scottish treats like delicious shortbread, Scottish fudge, and tablet. The celebration at Cranford Care Home also included a heartwarming visit from their friends at Kaimhill Nursery. The afternoon was filled with laughter and shared moments as residents and children engaged in colouring pictures of Robert Burns, playing catch, exploring fidget toys, and singing songs together. The lively interaction created cherished memories for everyone involved.
Meanwhile, atย Muirton House Care Homeย the kitchen team deserves special commendation for crafting a delicious traditional Burns Supper, featuring homemade griddle scones and shortbread. The afternoon tea, accompanied by a wee dram to toast the Bard himself, brought residents together with smiles all around.
