Muirton House Care Home in Blairgowrie are currently seeking an Activities Coordinator to join our team working 30 hours per week.

Blairgowrie sits on the banks of the river Ericht and is one of the largest towns in Perthshire. Based in a country location with abundant wild life and views over fields and woodland, Muirton House is nestled in large, peaceful grounds incorporating a sensory garden.

Muirton have been providing dementia (EMI), nursing and residential care for 25 years with an excellent team of care staff. They have registered nurses on site 24 hours a day. The dementia unit has been upgraded with themed areas such as sport, farming, music and film and items of interest are displayed on walls to encourage reminiscing. The manager and staff have completed champions training run by Alzheimer’s Society.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to develop and organise a range of events and activities for service users in all categories. You will need to be friendly, creative and confident.

You will need to be a confident team player and promote safe working practice in the care home.
