Muirton House Care Home in Blairgowrie are currently seeking a Senior Care Assistant on a full time basis 32.5 hours per week to join our hard working and dedicated team

Blairgowrie sits on the banks of the river Ericht and is one of the largest towns in Perthshire. Based in a country location with abundant wild life and views over fields and woodland, Muirton House is nestled in large, peaceful grounds incorporating a sensory garden.

Muiton have been providing dementia (EMI), nursing and residential care for 25 years with an excellent team of care staff. They have registered nurses on site 24 hours a day. The dementia unit has been upgraded with themed areas such as sport, farming, music and film and items of interest are displayed on walls to encourage reminiscing. The manager and staff have completed champions training run by Alzheimer’s Society.

The Successful candidate will have previous experience as a Senior Carer or have worked as a Care Assistant and looking for the next step in your career. We are looking for exceptional individuals with the right attitude, skills and knowledge who share our passion to deliver the best quality care experience.

•Genuine interest in working with the relevant Service Users group
•Good communication and organisation skills
•Confident team player
•Satisfactory Policy check and check against the SOVA list
•Ability to work on own initiative
•Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Program
•Previous experience of working with the relevant Service User Group
•SVQ level 3 in care
•Experience/Qualification in the safe Handling of medicines
