The residents and staff at Eastwood Court Care Home are about to become stars of STV Glasgow and West’s nightly evening news! After hearing about Eastwood Court’s Postcard Appeal, STV Studios asked if they could share the heart-warming news with their viewers.
The Eastwood Court team wanted to get residents to reminisce about the destinations they have visited over the years, and chat about places they have always wanted to go to. Following an appeal in the local Eastwood Extra newspaper, asking the public to send postcards from their various holidays around the world, staff and residents have been bowled over by the response. Postcards have arrived from Islay, Raasay near Skye, Arran, and from as far afield as Austria and Slovenia!
Residents had some great stories to share of the countries and cities they have visited, and will be gathering to watch their big TV appearance together later. Look out for them on STV News Glasgow and the West tonight at 6pm.
